Hey, I'm Kelsey — and this is Soluna North.

I'm a public health professional (MPH), a mom, and someone who always wants to know what the data actually says so I can make informed, confident decisions for my family. I'm the kind of person who reads labels, researches ingredients, and wonders, "What does this really mean?" — because I believe we deserve to know.

For years, I’ve worked in health data and policy, first in consulting for state Medicaid programs, and now at a major Medicaid health plan. And at the same time, I’ve been on my own journey: sorting through what’s safe, what’s marketing fluff, and what actually works in real life.

I created Soluna North as a space to bring all of that together:

Evidence-based insight. Clean beauty that’s actually effective. Realistic wellness.

No fear tactics. No perfection. Just helpful tools that make you feel good in your body and confident in your choices.

Why the name?

Soluna North is inspired by sun + moon energy, the duality of life, and the grounding beauty of the North Shore of Lake Superior (a place close to my heart where my family dreams of building a cabin someday).

It’s a name that reminds me to stay grounded, connected, and compassionate with myself, and to embrace the truth that two things can be true at the same time. I feel this everyday: I'm so excited to see my kids growing and learning new things and heartbroken that time is moving so fast.

I hope Soluna North reminds you to stay grounded, connected, and kind to yourself, too.

What You’ll Find Here

This isn’t about pushing one brand or perfecting your routine. It’s about creating a space where women (especially moms) can feel informed instead of overwhelmed.

You can expect:
✨ Real talk about wellness and what I’m learning
✨ Research made simple — so you don’t have to dig through the noise
✨ Clean beauty + health finds that are actually worth your time
✨ A little advocacy sprinkled in — because our voices matter

My goal is that everything you read here leaves you with something useful: a tip, a shift in perspective, a product you’ll love, or simply the feeling that you’re not alone in this.

This space is just getting started and I’m so glad you’re here at the very beginning. Let’s explore wellness together. No pressure. No perfection. Just progress.

With gratitude,

Kelsey
